Welcome to the premier performance venue of
Chicago's North Shore!
The
North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie
(NSCPAS), home to Centre East, Northlight Theatre, and
Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, brings the spirit
of New York's Lincoln Center and Washington's Kennedy
Center to Chicago's bustling North Shore.
The
State-of-the-Art, Award-Winning North Shore Center for
the Performing Arts in Skokie was designed by Boston-based
architect Graham Gund and opened in November 1996. The
NSCPAS is currently celebrating its 5th year of operation.
During the past five years, the NSCPAS has hosted performances
by Bill Cosby, Marvin Hamlisch, Crystal Gayle, Joe Mantegna,
Dennis Franz, and many more, including local talents,
such as Mike Nussbaum, Jennifer Graham, and Hubbard
Street Dance Company, to name a few.
The
North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie
is also home to three distinct Resident Companies: Centre
East, Northlight
Theatre, and Skokie Valley
Symphony Orchestra.
